Personal data is data and assessments that can be linked to an individual person. This can for example be name, residence, telephone number, email address and IP address, or a combination of these that makes it possible to estimate which person is behind the data.

All use of personal data is considered processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, compilation, storage and disclosure or a combination of these. Processing of personal data is regulated by the Personal Data Act.
Reese Legal is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the use of our services and products, and personal data we collect and process for the purpose outlined below. The fact that Reese Legal is the data controller primarily means that it is Reese Legal that has responsibility and obligations under the Personal Data Act.

If Reese Legal chooses another company that gets responsibility for processing personal data, i.e. data about you, we call this a data processor. In cases where we use data processors, we must ensure that we have entered into data processing agreements that regulate how the data processor can process data that is made available. The standard for this is that the agreement with the data processor may only process personal data on behalf of Reese Legal and for clearly and precisely defined purposes, as the regulation on processing of personal data requires.

How do we collect information about you?

Most of the data we have about you is data generated when you use some of our services. Examples of this can be; page views and information about your device (PC, mobile, tablet).

  1. Information you share with us yourself
    When you use a form, you will provide some data that is stored with us. This information is stored in our databases, because we need to be able to respond to your contact request.
  2. Information collected through use of the services
    When you use our services, we will register information about which services you use and how you use them. We do this because we then have the opportunity to improve the user experience, service content, prevent fraud and adapt content and advertisements to your usage and interest patterns.
  3. Information from other sources
    We receive information from other sources, for example advertising networks, customers, measurement tools or other third parties, which are intended to help us or them understand usage patterns, your preferences or generally improve the services we offer to become more adapted to your needs and interests.

How do we use the information we have collected about you?

All personal data we have collected, we have collected to understand and improve our services and products, so that you get the best user experience on our websites.
Reese Legal works continuously to give you as a user the best possible experience of our services that is available at any time. To be able to do this, we use, among other things, personal data we have collected.

To carry out the agreement with you and make the services work as well as possible

Reese Legal processes personal data and other forms of data to deliver the services agreed with you. We also use data to ensure the best possible user experience for you through automatic login, adaptation of content display to your screen and fastest possible loading of pages.

For statistics and to understand market trends

We prepare statistics and map market trends to improve and further develop our websites.

To personalize services – services specially adapted to you

We want to give you the opportunity to get tailored content and customizations. We do this by using data about your user behavior, your preferences or other available information. This can tell us something about your needs and wishes, so that we can for example remove articles you have already read from the front page or overviews of recommended articles, and we can give you recommendations for content or services based on what you have read or bought. We also give recommendations based on what other users with similar usage patterns to you have read.

Information about marketing in email and SMS

If you have an active customer relationship with Reese Legal, we will be able to send you marketing by email or other electronic communication methods within the framework of the Marketing Act, unless you have asked us otherwise. If you do not have an active customer relationship with us, we will only send such marketing if you have given us explicit and informed consent.

How is this information shared?

In some cases, we also share information with collaboration partners who use the information to convey targeted content and/or offers through their services. We then enter into agreements that limit access to use of the information and establish obligations to follow applicable privacy legislation.
If there is suspicion that a crime has been committed in connection with the use of services, the information may be disclosed to public authorities upon request.
We will not share, sell or communicate personal data in any other way than described in this privacy policy.

Correction and deletion of personal data

It is important that the information we have collected about you is correct and updated. If you discover errors, we encourage you to contact us so that the information can be corrected. You can also contact us if you want the information deleted.
We will not store personal data longer than necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing and statutory obligations we have, for example according to accounting legislation.

Our analytics and third-party tools

Reese Legal may use analytics tools to collect information about how our services are used. We use Fathom Analytics, where we measure, among other things, the number of visitors, which pages are visited, how long a visit lasts and similar.
Statistics about users and traffic are usually used and applied in aggregate form, so that the statistics do not contain any information that can be directly linked to you as an identified person.

About children’s privacy

Reese Legal does not wish to collect or otherwise process personal data about children under 15 years of age.
If children under 15 years of age have nevertheless given us personal data, we will delete the information as soon as we become aware of the situation.

Cookies on the website

Changes to the privacy policy

We may periodically update the privacy policy for Reese Legal’s services, to reflect any changes to the website. When we update the privacy policy, the new declaration will be published on the website 14 days before the changes are implemented. We will inform about the changes in the services that are affected.
